Why now?

2020 was the perfect time to launch a club in Cincinnati. The sport is growing incredibly fast, and as it grows the need for information, places to play, and ways to connect with other players grows too. The Club's vision is ambitious, but the idea is simple: promote the sport and the city, and make both better in the process.

How do I become a member?

Just click on “Join Us” at the top or bottom of the homepage. Then just follow the instructions for joining and paying the membership fee that aligns with whether you are joining as an individual or a couple.

What is pickleball?

Pickleball is a fun sport that combines many elements of tennis, badminton and ping-pong. It is played both indoors or outdoors on a badminton-sized court and a slightly modified tennis net. It is played as doubles or singles, with a paddle and a plastic ball with holes. The USAPA has a great resource for more detailed info on the history of the game, equipment, etc.

Why is there a membership fee?

The simple answer is that there are real costs associated with starting the Club, organizing information, maintaining the website, and creating events that will benefit all members of the Club. That said, we believe it is our responsibility to ensure the annual membership fee worth its weight many times over.

How can I help?

There will be plenty of opportunities to help get the club up and running, and sustain its mission. If you are interested in doing so just send an email to info@cincinnatipickleball.com and put “volunteer” in the subject line. Another way to help is to encourage your fellow players to join. The more members we have, the easier it will be to plan events, etc.

I am uneasy paying online. Is there an alternative?

If you are uncomfortable for any reason paying online you may send the Club a check at 1192 Beverly Hill Drive, Cincinnati, OH 45208.
